PREP YOUR SKIN

Begin by cleansing your skin with a gentle cleanser and moisturize with a lightweight, oil-free lotion. This will soften, protect, and lock in hydration to avoid dry, flaky skin.

COOL GLOW

A cool complexion for foundation use is a fair, pale, or light skin tone that leans slightly towards pink with a blue or rudy ray red undertone. The lightest shade in most brands may have a porcelain white to a barely yellow or beige hue.

APPLICATION AND TOOLS

For a smooth and even application, use a dense, flat brush with synthetic bristles or a sponge for blending. Apply the Matte Perfecting Foundation in a buffing motion, starting in the center of your face and blending outwards. This method will press the product into the skin rather than dusting it on top. Sponges will help set your makeup and absorb excess moisture. It may also be used to blend concealer and apply your favorite highlighters.

BAKE IT UNTIL YOU MAKE IT

Finish the look by lightly dusting a setting powder over your foundation to give it a matte finish and help it stay in place all day. Dabbing a translucent powder all over your face after makeup leaves the layers, blurs harsh lines, and eliminates creases.

HIGHLIGHT YOUR GLAM

Finish with Highlighter: For a dewy and luminous finish, dot a highlighter on the high points of your face (cheekbones, brow bones, and cupid’s bow) and blend with a brush or fingertips.
